Mechanical Design Engineer

Your new companyYou will be part of a growing family-owned establishment in operation in over 25 years, focusing on Mechanical Contracting. They work on a range of projects but have a strong focus on office fit out. This is a hybrid role based in South Birmingham.Your new roleTherefore this would suit someone either of their learning trajectory or someone who is a well established Mechanical Design Engineer.Your role will evolve to include:Create detailed designs for mechanical systems, including HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, and fire protection systems.Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution.What you'll need to succeedYou will need Building Services qualification or proven experience in a similar role.You will need to have a good level of computer literacy in Microsoft packages. You will need to have experience and awareness of mechanical designs and experience in using IES/Thermal Modelling. It would be beneficial if you have revit but not essential.You will need to have detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards.
