Mechanical Engineer responsibilities include -
- Leading reliability reviews across product design, manufacturing, and customer applications.
- Driving root cause investigations and 8D reporting for reliability and field performance issues.
- Managing FMEA processes to identify risks and embed lessons learned.
- Coordinating cross-functional actions with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
- Developing and tracking reliability metrics, reporting on risks, actions, and closure status.
- Engaging with customers through reports, presentations, and on-site technical meetings.
- Experience working within a similar role (Product Engineer, Reliability Engineer etc).
- Proven background in 8D methodology, FMEA and continuous improvement.
- Confidence working with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Mechanical engineering education (HNC/HNC) or relevant training.
- Salary circa 45,000+.
