About the Role
A well-established engineering firm is seeking an experienced Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join its technical team. The successful candidate will lead the design, development, and integration of electromechanical systems across a range of industrial applications, including control panels, embedded electronics, and automation systems.
This is a hands-on role requiring collaboration across design, production, and quality teams to deliver innovative solutions for both new build and refurbishment projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of mechatronic systems for industrial applications.
- Integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components into cohesive systems.
- Produce and review technical documentation including schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure technical requirements are met.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a mechatronics or systems engineering role.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, PLCs, and control systems.
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, or other safety-critical industries is preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD and electrical design software.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
