Location: Birmingham
Salary: �27k-�30k
Hours: 8am - 4:30pm
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established company in Sutton Coldfield as a Packaging Engineer. The opportunity will suit someone from automotive, packaging, logistics/supply chain or graduate students from these fields.
Packaging Engineer designs, validates and sources packaging for new product. The Packaging Engineer will implement company quality assurance and control systems to ensure proper execution of packaging and customer satisfaction every time.

Packaging Engineer designs, validates and sources packaging for new product. The Packaging Engineer will implement company quality assurance and control systems to ensure proper execution of packaging and customer satisfaction every time.
Packaging Engineer Responsibilities:
- To design and work with packaging suppliers to deliver a robust, sustainable packaging solution for new product
- To act as technical lead for packaging
- To comply with the company's standards for packaging specifications.
- To ensure any customer packaging specifications are met.
- To support the NPI process and deliver packaging in the timescales required.
- To support the Packaging Coordinator with sourcing of replacement serial production packaging.
- To attend Customer validation meetings as required (on site and at Customers)
- Raising of purchase orders and other duties; including specific invoice matching.
- Contract negotiations with key suppliers.
Packaging Responsibilities:
- Awareness and understanding of Customer packaging specifications
- MS Office literate
- Full driving license and own vehicle is a MUST
- Experience of various packaging solutions and optimal packaging designs for plastic parts is beneficial
- Experience of project work.
- Additional training will be provided
