Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer required to join a global, market leading compressed air supplier.

The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer can be located anywhere in the UK and will provide mechanical repair, service, and maintenance plus electrical fault finding on high speed rotating equipment, predominantly reciprocating compressors at customer sites across UK.

The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will have a field service background in the compressed air industry, particularly working with reciprocating compressors, or extensive experience with rotating equipment such as gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, industrial gearboxes, diesel engines, turbo engines, centrifuges, industrial HVAC systems, instrumentation, generators, pumps, or similar equipment. Full product training will be provided.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer Role
  • To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.
  • The Compressor Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics and technical support.
  • Provide mechanical repair, service, and maintenance plus electrical fault finding on reciprocating compressors at customer sites UK and worldwide.
  • Installing compressed air products into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on reciprocating compressed air equipment.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer Requirements
  • Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer / Electrical Engineer or similar with recriprocating experience.
  • The ability in maintaining good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Good working knowledge of three phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
  • Field service background in the compressed air industry, particularly working with reciprocating compressors, or extensive experience with rotating equipment such as gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, industrial gearboxes, diesel engines, turbo engines, centrifuges, industrial HVAC systems, instrumentation, generators, pumps, or similar equipment. Full product training will be provided.
  • A technical mechanical engineering degree would be advantageous.
  • Fully remote role, willingness to travel UK and stay away when required.
