Metal Finisher Shifts:
- 2x tier rotational double day shifts – EARLIES AND LATES
- Week 1 - AM Shift: 05:45 – 13:30 Monday – Thursday & 05:45 – 12:15 on Friday
- Week 2 – PM Shift:13:15 – 21:00 Monday – Thursday & 11:45 – 18:45 on Friday
Orion is partnered with a fast-paced manufacturing business based in Birmingham We are recruiting for an experienced Metal Finishing Operative to join the team
Metal Finisher Responsibilities:
- Work with Production & Assembly teams to maintain product flow.
- Perform fettling, grinding, and rework of components.
- Operate lathe mopping machine
- Maintain equipment and perform general upkeep.
- Carry out etching and polishing using mopping lathe.
- Improve processes and take accountability for results.
- Maintain booking systems (Efacs/seki).
- Handle additional duties as required – Support across the shop floor where needed
Metal Finisher Required Experience:
- Skilled in grinding, fettling, and polishing with hand tools and mopping lathe.
- Candidates must have experience using a Mopping Lathe
- Experience using labour booking systems – Sekai/Efacs etc..
- Strong problem-solving ability and proactive attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Resilient and determined to overcome challenges.
- Happy to support on various work duties across the shop floor when needed
- Results-oriented, confident, proactive and motivated.
