Music Teacher - South BirminghamFull-Time or Part-Time | KS3 & KS4 | QTS or Experienced Instructor

We're working with a secondary school in South Birmingham that is looking to appoint a Music Teacher on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on availability. This is a well-resourced school with a strong commitment to the arts, and they're looking for someone who can deliver high-quality classroom teaching and support wider musical opportunities across the school.

About the Role:
  • Teaching Music to KS3 and KS4 students.

  • Planning and delivering lessons that combine practical and theoretical music skills.

  • Supporting students in developing performance, composition, and listening skills.

  • Running or contributing to extracurricular activities such as music clubs, choirs, or school productions.

  • Assessing work, tracking progress, and reporting in line with school policies.

  • Working as part of a small, supportive performing arts department.

What They're Looking For:
  • A qualified teacher (QTS) or an experienced Music Instructor with a strong track record in the classroom.

  • Someone confident in delivering the secondary Music curriculum to mixed-ability groups.

  • Strong subject knowledge, particularly in areas such as music theory, performance, or digital composition.

  • Good classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships with students.

  • An interest in contributing to the wider school community through clubs or events is a bonus.
