Skilled Metalworker
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Circa £31,000
Hours: Full Time - 39 hours per week (between the hours of 06.30 to 16.30 Monday to Friday)
Our clients are shopfitters based in Birmingham. They offer facilities for the production of individually designed installations which incorporate hardwood joinery, architectural metalwork and other materials. They also specialise in manufacture of bronze or stainless steel doors & frames to any detail. Established more than 150 years ago; They take pride in specialising in bespoke design and manufacturing for prestigious clientele.
The Role
Working within a small team of metalworkers to create bespoke metalwork structures such as shopfronts, canopies, staircases, etc. Working to a very high standard with a mixture of different metals dependant on customers’ requirements.
Working with/on the following:
- Brass
- Bronze
- Aluminium
- Stainless and mild steel varying in thickness from 1.2 to 6mm
- Vertical and horizontal band saws
- Pedestal drillers
- Welding/brazing ideal but not essential
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role is essential
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
