Pre-School Leader - Earlswood, Solihull


Monarch Education is partnering with a friendly nursery school in the Earlswood area of Solihull to find an experienced and passionate Level 4 Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join their team as a Pre-School Leader. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the daily running of the pre-school rooms, ensuring children receive the highest quality early years education.

The role is full-time, working Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week), on an ongoing basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

What we're looking for:

  • A minimum of a Level 4 Qualification in Early Years or Childcare
  • Ideally some leadership experience, though not essential
  • At least 5 years' experience working in Early Years settings
  • Own transport, as the nursery is not accessible via public transport
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • A passion for delivering high-quality early years education

Your main responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of high-quality education and care for children aged 3 and 4
  • Support and develop staff, ensuring their knowledge and skills are current and effective
  • Keep up to date with the latest EYFS National Curriculum and best practices
  • Plan and facilitate engaging, child-centred activities tailored to individual needs
  • Play a key role in recruiting and onboarding new EYFS-qualified staff
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, implementing improvements where necessary
  • Meet regularly with staff and parents to ensure activities meet each child's unique needs
  • Provide personal care for children when required, maintaining a nurturing environment
