Freelance Façades Consultant – Nationwide

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Freelance Façades Consultant to support a variety of construction and refurbishment projects across the UK. The role involves both technical advisory and on-site inspections for façade systems on commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on façade design, performance, materials, and compliance
- Conduct site inspections and condition surveys of new and existing façades
- Review and comment on technical drawings, specifications, and contractor proposals
- Support clients with façade strategy, detailing, and buildability reviews
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards
- Provide written reports, risk assessments, and technical documentation
Requirements:
- Strong background in façade engineering or façade consultancy
- Experience with curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing systems, and envelope performance
- Knowledge of UK fire safety standards
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to travel to sites across the UK as needed
