We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and experienced SENCo to join a school for young people with special educational needs including autism and associated needs who are unable to access a mainstream education. The school caters for secondary aged pupils.As SENCo, you will play a key leadership role in shaping their SEN provision, working collaboratively with all parties - teachers, support staff, external professionals and families to ensure each pupil receives the tailored support they need to reach their potential.We are seeking interest from candidates who:

  • Hold UK QTS and the NPQ SENCo qualification or be working towards it
  • Is confident in coordinating EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) processes and reviews
  • Can monitor and evaluate the impact of SEN interventions and provision
  • Has proven experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Holds strong leadership and communication skills
  • Can lead and manage the SEN provision across the school in line with the SEND Code of Practice
  • Works well under pressure
