Location: Sparkbrook, Birmingham

Hours: 14 hours per week (over 5 days)

 

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a qualified Teacher in the Sparkbrook, Birmingham area. This role involves delivering engaging lessons in Maths, Science, History, and Employability Skills to pupils aged 13–17 in an independent special school setting. This is an immediate start position.

Job requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching across multiple subjects
• Experience working with pupils with SEND (BESD, social communication needs, learning difficulties)
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills
• Ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons

 

Role responsibilities:
• Deliver lessons in Maths, Science, History & Employability Skills
• Support students with a range of special educational needs
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assess and monitor student progress
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
