Gas Engineer - Birmingham (various sites) - 27 - 29 per hour

Involve Recruitment are seeking a skilled and reliable Gas Engineer to join our team for ongoing work across social housing properties. The role involves a mix of domestic gas tasks, including pipework modifications, appliance disconnections, and safety testing. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and values consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out gas drop tests to ensure system integrity and safety
Disconnect cookers and other gas appliances as required
Move and modify pipework to suit property layouts and upgrades
Work within occupied social housing environments with professionalism and care
Ensure all work complies with current gas safety regulations and standards
Maintain accurate records of work completed and safety checks

Requirements

Must have Gas Safe qualification (registration)
Must hold cooker qualification
Proven experience in domestic gas engineering
Strong understanding of gas safety procedures and regulations
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Excellent communication skills and a respectful approach to tenants. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
