Gas Engineer

Gas Engineer - Birmingham (various sites) - 27 - 29 per hour

Involve Recruitment are seeking a skilled and reliable Gas Engineer to join our team for ongoing work across social housing properties. The role involves a mix of domestic gas tasks, including pipework modifications, appliance disconnections, and safety testing. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and values consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out gas drop tests to ensure system integrity and safety
• Disconnect cookers and other gas appliances as required
• Move and modify pipework to suit property layouts and upgrades
• Work within occupied social housing environments with professionalism and care
• Ensure all work complies with current gas safety regulations and standards
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and safety checks

Requirements

• Must have Gas Safe qualification (registration)
• Must hold cooker qualification
• Proven experience in domestic gas engineering
• Strong understanding of gas safety procedures and regulations
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Excellent communication skills and a respectful approach to tenants. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
