Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term opportunity within a supportive and forward-thinking primary school?


Long Term Futures are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Kings Heath (B14) who are seeking a confident HLTA to support learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HLTA who enjoys variety - from delivering targeted interventions to covering classes and supporting pupils with additional needs. The school is on a positive improvement journey and offers a collaborative environment where staff are genuinely valued.


The Role

  • Deliver small group interventions in English, Phonics, Maths and Social & Emotional development
  • Provide high-quality support across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Cover whole classes when required, following lesson plans and maintaining strong behaviour management
  • Support pupils with SEN and additional needs, adapting learning to suit individual abilities
  • Monitor and feedback on pupil progress to teachers and SLT
  • Contribute to wider school life, including enrichment activities and clubs


The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds HLTA status or a Level 3 qualification / relevant degree
  • Strong Maths and English skills (GCSE grade C/4 or above)
  • Experience delivering structured interventions with proven impact
  • Confident supporting pupils with SEN and learning barriers
  • High expectations for behaviour, engagement and progress
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work collaboratively within a team
