The Final Inspector will be responsible for the inspection approval of all incoming product coming from both internal and external sources.The Final Inspector will be required to provide a fully comprehensive and proactive approach to their role and have a detailed understanding of engineering drawings and standard inspection techniques. They will be detail orientated, hands on, can do individual who has the ability to support and coordinate various departmental requirements.Final InspectorJob Description
  • Inspect all incoming product to confirm conformance to drawing and specifications.
  • Inspect product using standard gauging and inspection techniques.
  • Review all incoming product to ensure suppliers have fully complied with the purchase order, drawing and specification requirements.
  • Review associated paperwork to product to ensure full traceability of processes
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative to achieve required deadlines.
  • Assist in the delivery of key activities and projects as required.
  • Produce and log data to supply reports and analysis of quality Certification and Documentation as and when required.
  • Demonstrate outstanding organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work pre-emptively and thinking ahead at all times with multiple solutions to hand for any given scenario.
  • The ability to work with little direction in a proactive and ambassadorial manner.
  • Working to very tight and constantly changing deadlines with absolute discretion.
  • Provide back up to the quality team’s covering holiday leave and / or supporting overflow activities as deemed appropriate by Quality Control Manager.
  • Keep accurate and up to date data and ensuring that is maintained in relation to Quality Administration / Certification.
  • Promote quality achievement and performance throughout the organisation.
  • Ensure that any discrepancies with certification or product is highlighted, investigated and resolved prior to release.
  • Raise any concerns or barriers when reviewing certification / documentation that may delay products being booked to stores or released to manufacture.
Final InspectorEssential Qualifications / Experience / Skills
  • Must have experience working in a highly regulated / high precision manufacturing business (Aerospace, Nuclear etc)
  • At least 4 years relevant experience in standard gauging inspection using Callipers, Micrometre’s, thread gauges, height gauges etc.
  • Must be able to understand technical engineering drawings, GD&T etc.
Final InspectorDesirable Qualifications / Experience / Skills
  • CMM capability with PC-DMIS software would be advantageous
