We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team on a contract basis. This role is focused on manual inspection, ensuring the quality and precision of both in-house and supply chain products. Exposure to CMM is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct manual inspections using hand tools (micrometers, height gauges, shadowgraph, vision systems) to verify parts and assemblies meet specifications.
Support machinist inspectors and the Quality Team in maintaining manufacturing standards.
Perform final assembly inspections to ensure product quality.
Write non-conformance reports and support investigations into technical issues.
Collaborate with the team to improve processes; experience with lean initiatives is beneficial but not essential.
Support basic CMM measurement and report verification (desirable, not essential).
Skills & Experience
HNC/HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Strong expertise in manual inspection methods and equipment.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively at all levels.
Exposure to CMM measurement systems is beneficial.
Experience in aerospace manufacturing is a plus.
