The Role

We’re now seeking a Defence Business Sourcing Specialist – someone who thrives on complexity, builds strong stakeholder relationships, and delivers impactful sourcing strategies that align with our clients’ strategic and social value goals.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in a Public Sector procurement environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and awareness of the Procurement Act 2023.
  • Skilled in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, balancing detail with strategic oversight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent written/verbal communication.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with resilience and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Complex Procurement Projects: Deliver high value, strategic sourcing solutions that align with client objectives, ensuring compliance and best practice at every stage.
  • Market Engagement: Conduct research, analyse trends, and identify innovative suppliers to deliver the best value for clients.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships, ensuring performance and innovation are at the forefront.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior client stakeholders and cross-functional internal teams (including legal, commercial and operations).
  • Commercial Negotiation: Secure favourable terms on cost, quality and innovation.
  • Drive Social Value: Embed sustainability and community impact within procurement decisions.
  • Ensure Compliance: Uphold Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and be aware of changes under the Procurement Act 2023.
