Senior Buyer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Buyer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation working on major urban infrastructure programmes. Based in Birmingham, youll be responsible for leading procurement activities across materials, plant, and subcontract services ensuring value, compliance, and performance from the supply chain.

Youll provide professional procurement support to delivery teams, lead on subcontract procurement, and act as a vital link between internal stakeholders and external suppliers. This is a fantastic role for someone looking to make a real impact in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What Were Looking For:

  • 3+ years in a senior procurement role (construction/civil engineering).
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract management skills.
  • MCIPS (or working towards) preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead subcontract procurement and supplier engagement.
  • Implement supply chain strategies and manage risk.
  • Draft contracts and coordinate tendering processes.
  • Ensure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.
  • Support continuous improvement across procurement activities.
