Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Salary: 31,096 - 37,500 Per Annum, Depending on Experience

Location: Walsall, although training will be from the Cheltenham office

Schedule: Monday to Friday (40 hours)

Project Locations: Birmingham and the wider area including Coventry, Wolverhampton, Leicester, Walsall, Derby, Dudley.

About The Role:

The company is a family business based in Cheltenham; they are currently looking for an Estimator to join their friendly team in the Walsall office.

The majority of their workload is within the insurance funded domestic sector with the occasional commercial property. As their Estimator Surveyor you will be client & customer facing and should expect a varied workload.

Ideally the candidate would need to be a self-motivated individual have a good overall construction and building knowledge and be prepared to learn the predominantly Insurance work scheduling or have experience in this role.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Attending properties to view damage for scheduling purposes whilst taking sketches and any other detailed information relevant to the works
  • Providing schedule of works to insurance, uploading to their software
  • Tendering projects to high values
  • Clear communication written and verbal for reporting and interacting with clients
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships between clients and subcontractors
  • Financially preparing final accounts on projects
  • Health and Safety documentation; i.e. CPP, CDM, RAMS

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in this role is desirable but not essential however you must have a background in building and construction
  • A self-motivated individual who also works well in a team
  • The ability to collaborate effectively, maintaining good working relationships
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
