Do you have proven experience estimating demolition projects or a background in demolition focused QS work? Are you confident working through tenders methodically and producing accurate cost evaluations? This contractor has been operating for nearly four decades, delivering projects ranging from small structures to large high-rise demolition schemes, valued between 50k and 4m. With a newly opened London office and continued expansion plans, the business is now investing in building its internal commercial capability, starting with this key hire.

In this role, you will take ownership of tender submissions, evaluate costs, liaise closely with senior leadership, visit sites for new enquiries, source quotations, and prepare initial programmes. You will play a crucial role in freeing up senior staff time and improving bid efficiency as the company grows.

The ideal candidate will bring demolition experience; either as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor, along with strong numerical ability, excellent attention to detail, and confidence working independently on bids. Strong Excel skills are essential.

The Role:

Lead tender submissions from initial enquiry through completion
Visit sites to review scope and requirements
Liaise with senior management on tender decisions
Source quotations and evaluate project costs
Create initial programmes and prepare supporting documents
Support wider business growth through efficient, accurate estimating

The Person:

Experience in demolition estimating or demolition-focused QS work
Strong maths and analytical skills
Proficient in Excel
Methodical, thorough, and able to work independently
Confident communicator with strong commercial awareness
