Our client is looking for a proactive and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to manage all financial and contractual aspects of their projects. This role offers genuine autonomy and the chance to make a real impact.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Full lifecycle cost management, from initial feasibility through to final account.
- Preparing detailed cost plans, estimates, and budgets to a high degree of accuracy.
- Implementing robust cost control measures and providing regular, insightful reporting.
- Managing the valuation process, including interim payments and final accounts.
- Skillfully negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve best value.
- Proactively identifying and effectively managing project variations.
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments.
What our client is looking for:
- A degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Solid and demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally gained within a main contracting environment.
- A comprehensive understanding of various forms of construction contracts.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- A self-starter mentality with the ability to manage your own workload effectively, whilst also being a strong team player.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with relevant industry software and IT tools.
