Niyaa people are working with a well-respected care organisation who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. You will need to know the National Federation rates in order to be suitable for this role

Role: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Remote (with a visit once every 2 weeks on site across the UK)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: 55,000

Key duties of the Quantity Surveyor:
  • Assist in the preparation of initial budgets and cost plans.
  • Assisting with submitting timely requests for payment.
  • Monitoring and reporting project progress.
  • Assisting with internal cost reporting.
  • Supply Chain management including sending enquiry documentation.
  • Supply Chain Payment assessment.
  • Monitor actual cost against targets.

Skills needed for the Quantity Surveyor:
  • Good IT skills, including MS Suite of programmes - Excel, Project, Outlook.
  • Ability to write and prepare contract documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • A self-starter able to work on own initiative and make an immediate impact.

Qualifications needed for the Quantity Surveyor role:
  • HNC, HND or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar relevant discipline.
  • Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management
