A leading UK-based construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing Industrial, Logistics and Manufacturing team based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and technically strong Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in delivering large-scale infrastructure and vertical build projects across the UK.
The Quantity Surveyor
The successful Quantity Surveyor will be degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related technical discipline and hold MRICS status. You will have demonstrable Quantity Surveyor experience delivering similar industrial and logistics schemes from inception through to completion, with strong pre-construction, estimating, and cost planning skills.
This Quantity Surveyor position will involve working on complex new build projects, including site earthworks, utilities, highways, and manufacturing facilities. A sound understanding of JCT and NEC contracts is essential, along with a proven track record of managing cost, contract administration and technical delivery.
Key requirements for the Quantity Surveyor:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
- Chartered status (MRICS)
- Experience in Industrial, Logistics or Manufacturing projects
- Knowledge of both JCT and NEC forms of contract
- Strong technical delivery and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to lead on cost planning, estimation and commercial reporting
