Bar Manager – Fast-Paced Social Venue – Up to £44,000

The Role:

We're working with one of Birmingham's most exciting experiential bar venues, and they're now looking for a dynamic Bar Manager to lead the team and drive the guest experience to the next level. This is a high-volume, fast-paced site that's all about atmosphere, quality drinks, and great energy — perfect for someone who thrives in a vibrant, social setting. You'll be responsible for leading a team of up to 15, delivering exceptional service, and maintaining high operational standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong cocktail bar experience, solid leadership skills, and a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily bar operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Implement standard operating procedures and maintain bar equipment
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Execute the bar menu in line with the venue's F&B strategy
  • Coordinate with suppliers to manage stock and ensure timely delivery of quality ingredients
  • Recruit, train, and manage bar staff, fostering a positive and motivated team environment
  • Manage shift scheduling and performance reviews
  • Support ongoing team development and internal training initiatives
  • Monitor guest feedback and respond swiftly to any service issues
  • Lead by example in delivering a warm, professional, and guest-focused experience
  • Monitor and manage labour and beverage costs
  • Analyse financial performance and implement cost-saving measures
  • Build relationships with suppliers to negotiate best pricing
