## Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire and security systems, with a focus on new business sales. This role will involve promoting and selling CCTV, access control, intruder, and life safety systems, with a balance of 80% maintenance contracts and 20% projects.

## Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the fire and security sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients
- Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing deals
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure the successful delivery of projects
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing advice and solutions to clients
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Keep abreast of industry trends, competitors, and market conditions

## Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development within the fire and security industry
- Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, intruder, and life safety systems
- Demonstrated success in new business sales and account management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive and results-oriented mindset
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards is a plus

## Day-to-day
- Researching and identifying potential clients and opportunities
- Building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders
- Conducting sales presentations and product demonstrations
- Collaborating with the technical team to design and propose solutions
- Developing tailored proposals and quotations
- Tracking sales activities and maintaining accurate records
- Attending industry events and networking opportunities
