Finance AssistantIntroduction & CompanyOur client is a dynamic provider of energy efficiency solutions and services who are making a hugely positive contribution to the UK’s energy efficiency sector.  Due to continued growth across the UK, the company now require a confident Finance Assistant to work as part of a vibrant, professional and knowledgeable team.Location / Hybrid3 days office based (central Birmingham), 2 days home based each week.     Job TitleFinance Assistant      Job Role & Overview Our client is looking for a confident finance assistant, who is willing to learn, to play an active and positive part of their finance team in the UK.  Initial training and ongoing support and development come as standard.  The role includes, but is not limited to:
  • Maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the team on day-to-day accounting.
  • Reporting is key to the role – assist in preparing reports, P&L and VAT, along with monthly accruals, cashflow and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Managing and recording weekly transactions and payments, tracking business credit card payments and statements.
  • Assisting the senior team with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Process invoices within payment terms and resolve any errors or discrepancies across accounts.
The Person Needed This role will suit a candidate who offers:
  • 2 years or more experience working as part of a professional finance team in a busy company.
  • Prior experience as a finance assistant, finance administrator or bookkeeper, or similar job role.
  • A structured and organised approach, coupled with an open communication style and confidence to take feedback.
  • A desire to learn, grow, and to take on new challenges.
