Smart Education is currently recruiting for two Maths Teachers – one based in Northfield and one in Birmingham – to start on 3rd November. We are seeking talented and passionate individuals who can deliver high-quality Maths lessons to young people with complex mental health difficulties and other medical needs.

Job Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Excellent subject and pedagogical knowledge in Mathematics
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 pupils (Post-16 experience advantageous but not essential)
• Resilient, creative, and able to adapt teaching to meet individual needs
• DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Able to provide professional references quickly
• Must be able to move swiftly through the compliance process

 

Role Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons that inspire and motivate young people
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and the wider team to ensure learners access education and gain practical experiences
• Use creative approaches to address gaps in learning and reduce educational disadvantage
• Support the personal and academic development of students with complex needs
• Demonstrate tenacity, flexibility, and commitment to enabling all young people to thrive

 

About You:
We are looking for two resilient and dynamic teachers who can inspire young people and make a genuine difference. You will have a passion for mathematics and a commitment to inclusive education. While experience in a specialist setting is beneficial, it is not essential – many of our staff come from mainstream schools.
