Smart Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and resilient PE Teacher to work 0.6 FTE (part-time) in a Birmingham-based specialist setting, supporting pupils with Autism who are unable to access mainstream education.
This rewarding opportunity offers the chance to make a profound impact on the lives of some of the most vulnerable young people in the city. Every pupil has a primary diagnosis of Autism and may also have missed extended periods of education. Your role will involve creatively re-engaging students in PE, promoting both physical and emotional wellbeing, and enabling every learner to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:-
Deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 adapted to meet the diverse needs of students with Autism.

Use creative teaching strategies to bridge gaps in learning and reduce educational disadvantage.

Support the development of the whole child—socially, emotionally, and physically.

Work collaboratively within a supportive and highly trained multi-disciplinary team.

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Have experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4.

Demonstrate a passion for inclusive education and supporting SEND learners.

Show tenacity, positivity, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
