The School and Role

ABC Teachers is recruiting for a passionate and knowledgeable Religious Studies Supply Teacher to take on a long-term teaching role at a welcoming secondary school in Yardley, Birmingham. Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum.

  • Encourage student discussion and respectful debate around a variety of beliefs and worldviews.

  • Plan, prepare and assess pupils’ work to support academic progress.

  • Contribute to the wider school ethos and department planning.

  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and engagement in the classroom.

 

Requirements

The successful RE Teacher will have;

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

  • Previous experience teaching Religious Studies at the secondary level.

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • Passion for Religious Education and inclusive teaching practices.

  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
