Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate Maths teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons, inspire a love of mathematics, and support students to achieve their potential.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Tracking, assessing and reporting on student progress to drive improvement.
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning.
  • Supporting students through targeted interventions, revision sessions and enrichment.
  • Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning.
  • Participating in CPD and whole-school initiatives.
  • Playing a full role in school life, including pastoral responsibilities and community events.

Requirements

We are looking for a teacher who is dedicated to student success, resilient in the face of challenge, and committed to continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (or working towards it).
  • Experience delivering effective and engaging Maths lessons.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Effective classroom management and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Ability to use data to inform planning and monitor progress.
  • Commitment to the values of service, ambition, respect, and teamwork.
  • Willingness to support the school's Christian ethos and wider community work.

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level Maths.
  • Familiarity with using technology to support learning and assessment.
