Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a passionate Maths teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons, inspire a love of mathematics, and support students to achieve their potential.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
- Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
- Tracking, assessing and reporting on student progress to drive improvement.
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning.
- Supporting students through targeted interventions, revision sessions and enrichment.
- Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning.
- Participating in CPD and whole-school initiatives.
- Playing a full role in school life, including pastoral responsibilities and community events.
Requirements
We are looking for a teacher who is dedicated to student success, resilient in the face of challenge, and committed to continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements:
- A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (or working towards it).
- Experience delivering effective and engaging Maths lessons.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Effective classroom management and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Ability to use data to inform planning and monitor progress.
- Commitment to the values of service, ambition, respect, and teamwork.
- Willingness to support the school's Christian ethos and wider community work.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level Maths.
- Familiarity with using technology to support learning and assessment.
