  • Maintain positive relationships and manage classroom behaviour effectively.

  • Support students’ learning and emotional development in line with school policies.

  • Provide guidance, structure, and consistency for pupils throughout the school day.

  • Collaborate with teaching staff and pastoral teams to promote engagement and wellbeing.

  • Encourage a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students.

These schools pride themselves on offering:

  • Small class sizes and high staff-to-student ratios for focused support.

  • Therapeutic and behaviour-led approaches to teaching and learning.

  • Strong emphasis on wellbeing, communication, and life skills.

  • Highly dedicated staff teams who work collaboratively to re-engage learners and help them reach their full potential.

Each day brings new challenges and rewards, making it an incredibly meaningful and dynamic role.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience working with young people (education, youth work, sport, or mentoring experience desirable).

  • Confidence to lead a class and maintain a calm learning environment.

  • Excellent communication, empathy, and resilience.

  • A positive, proactive approach and willingness to learn.

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Full training and ongoing support will be provided for candidates new to the role.

As a Cover Supervisor with ABC Teachers, You Will Receive:
  • Competitive daily rates paid via PAYE.

  • Guaranteed Pay Scheme (subject to availability).

  • Ongoing CPD and professional development.
