Responsibilities:
Work with challenging learners, providing differentiated support and encouragement to meet their specific needs.
Supporting with communication and language needs and providing 1:1 and small group support as needed to assist in developing children's communication, social, emotional and behavioural skills.
Work collaboratively with parents, carers and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
Help to maintain accurate records and progress reports to inform ongoing planning and assessment.
There is an element of personal care involved with this role and so the right candidate must be equipped in providing the right support in this area.
Requirements:
Successful applicants should hold the follow:
- 2 years minimum experience in schools in the UK, ideally working with KS1 students
- Level 2 or 3 Childcare or Teaching and Learning Qualifications
- Team Teach or Positive Handling Training
- Full and clear DBS check (This can be provided where needed)
