We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our Homelessness Team within a Birmingham Trust.About the Role:
- Provide expert social work support to individuals experiencing homelessness, promoting their well-being and assisting in securing stable housing.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing person-centered care plans.
- Lead, mentor, and support junior social workers within the team, promoting best practice and professional development.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners (housing providers, healthcare professionals, charities), coordinating services and advocating for clients' needs.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and policy development within the team.
- Manage a complex caseload, prioritising urgent needs and ensuring timely interventions.
Requirements:
- Registered with Social Care England.
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Significant experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a senior or supervisory role within social care.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and case management skills.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policy relating to homelessness and housing.
- Commitment to person-centered practice and ethical standards.
