Senior Social Worker - Homelessness Team (Birmingham)Make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults.Are you a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our Homelessness Team within a Birmingham Trust.About the Role:

  • Provide expert social work support to individuals experiencing homelessness, promoting their well-being and assisting in securing stable housing.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing person-centered care plans.
  • Lead, mentor, and support junior social workers within the team, promoting best practice and professional development.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners (housing providers, healthcare professionals, charities), coordinating services and advocating for clients' needs.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and policy development within the team.
  • Manage a complex caseload, prioritising urgent needs and ensuring timely interventions.

Requirements:

  • Registered with Social Care England.
  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Significant experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in a senior or supervisory role within social care.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and case management skills.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policy relating to homelessness and housing.
  • Commitment to person-centered practice and ethical standards.
