Senior Social Worker - Homelessness Team (Birmingham Trust)Make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults experiencing homelessness.Birmingham Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our dedicated Homelessness Team. This is a challenging and rewarding role for a compassionate and driven professional committed to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness.About the Role:

  • Provide expert social work support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, working to secure safe and stable housing.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments, developing and implementing person-centered care plans.
  • Supervise and mentor junior social workers, promoting best practice and professional development within the team.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners (housing providers, healthcare professionals, voluntary organizations), coordinating services and advocating for clients' needs.
  • Manage a complex caseload, prioritizing urgent needs and ensuring timely interventions.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and policy development within the team.

Requirements:

  • Registered with Social Care England.
  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Significant experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in a senior or supervisory role within social care.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and case management skills.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policy relating to homelessness and housing.
  • Commitment to person-centered practice and ethical standards.
