Your new companyHays are recruiting on behalf of Birmingham City Council for an experienced Senior Practitioner (SP)/Assistant Team Manager (ATM) based in Birmingham QE Hospital in the Complex Case team.Your new roleAs an SPD, you will have knowledge of the management of a complex caseload, good knowledge of safeguarding 117, MCA and Best Interests decision-making. Must have experience of managing 5-7 staff or transferable skills in supervising staff, and all-round knowledge and familiarity with the Care Act 2014. Experience of using Eclipse systems is desirable, but not essential and training will be given.We are also looking for candidates who can commence working with us quite quickly for a 6-month contract in the first instance with the potential to be ongoing for the right candidate.

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful you will require a Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent).
