We are currently recruiting for PIP2 investigative Consultants to support multiple units across the West Midlands area.

Hours: Full-time, part-time & compressed hours available

Location: Multiple police stations across West Midlands

Pay rate: £23 per hour (outside IR35)

Pay options: Sole trader, Limited company or via Umbrella company

Contract: Temporary Ongoing

Estimated timeframe: Starting as soon as each individual clears vetting.

Purpose: You will provide operational assistance, building case files and carrying out any tasks to support the force's workload.

Duties:

  • Secure, preserve and gather evidence
  • Building case files
  • Obtaining and reviewing CCTV
  • Experience interviewing and obtaining statements, this may include vulnerable adults
  • Analysing phone and device download reviews
  • Follow up outside enquiries
  • Use internal IT systems to research and maintain records regarding individuals and investigations
  • Maintain case progression timelines
  • Reduce missed opportunities, evidential errors or investigative delays
  • Safeguarding practice

Essential Experience:

  • PIP2 or Detective or equivalent experience

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience within a Major Incidents Team and/or Public Protection Unit
  • Experience interviewing and obtaining statements from vulnerable adults (ABE)
