We are seeking a committed and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Birmingham. This role involves working closely with a pupil who requires additional support due to specific learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, adapting learning materials and strategies to meet their individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and encouraging learning atmosphere.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties).
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing.
Desirable:
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training).
  • Experience with EHCPs and working in a primary school setting.
