Are you an enthusiastic and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a fresh opportunity?

We're working closely with a welcoming school in the heart of Handsworth, seeking a committed SEN TA to join their team this September. The role will involve a blend of 1:1 and small group support, working with pupils who may need extra help with communication, focus, or behaviour. You'll work alongside experienced staff to create a positive learning environment and help children access the curriculum with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs in class and in small groups
  • Assisting with classroom routines and behaviour management
  • Working closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to deliver support strategies
  • Helping pupils build confidence, social skills and independence
  • Recording and sharing observations to track progress

You Will Need:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND
  • A calm, adaptable and proactive attitude
  • Able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff alike
  • Reliable and confident working as part of a team
