Are you a patient, positive and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a friendly Birmingham primary school?

We're working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Small Heath area, seeking a confident SEN Teaching Assistant to join them from September. This role involves a mix of 1:1 and small group support. You'll be working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to support pupils with a range of needs, including autism, speech and language delay, and social communication difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored SEN support on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Supporting classroom routines and helping children engage in learning
  • Working collaboratively with staff to deliver effective interventions
  • Promoting independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
  • Helping monitor progress and adapting support to meet individual needs

You Will Need:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in a primary setting
  • A calm, consistent and encouraging approach
  • Good understanding of early learning or KS1 development
  • Team player with clear communication and strong initiative
