Are you looking to start a new role straight away where you can make a real difference to young people's lives? Long Term Futures is recruiting a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Rubery.

The school, with around 450 pupils on roll, has a strong reputation for inclusion and prides itself on creating a supportive environment for both staff and students. You'll be working closely with learners who need extra help, including those with Autism, ADHD, and social or emotional challenges, ensuring they feel confident and able to thrive.

Your Role Will Involve

  • Delivering 1:1 and small group support in lessons and around the school

  • Supporting students with emotional regulation and social development

  • Assisting teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual needs

  • Providing feedback to staff on progress and next steps

  • Encouraging independence, resilience, and positive engagement in learning

What We're Looking For

  • Experience supporting students with SEN in a school or youth setting

  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach

  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships

  • Flexibility to adapt to different situations and needs

  • A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification is helpful but not essential - experience and attitude are key
