Are you a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting children with ASD and non-verbal communication needs? This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in a structured, nurturing environment.
You'll provide 1:1 support and deliver tailored interventions to help pupils develop communication skills, manage routines, and engage in learning.
Key Responsibilities
Support children with ASD and non-verbal needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Use visual timetables, structured routines, and alternative communication tools
Encourage independence and promote positive behaviour
Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to deliver individualised strategies
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting children with ASD and non-verbal communication needs
A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
Strong understanding of structured support and visual aids
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
