We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN TA to join a fantastic SEND School in Birmingham. This position is to start immediately & will run right up until July 2026, with an option of a permanent contract.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programmes for students with special educational needs.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, fostering their independence and encouraging their engagement in learning activities.
  • Implement strategies to support students with autism, ensuring their specific needs are met effectively.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to develop individual education plans (IEPs) for children requiring additional support.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all learners, including toddlers and children with disabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to education and care.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to special education and child development.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or special educational needs, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills to interact positively with students, parents, and staff members.
  • A background in teaching or special education is advantageous but not essential.
