We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support one of our partner schools in Handsworth, working within their dedicated Resource Base.

You will be working closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, providing tailored support to help them access learning and reach their full potential. This role is based within the school’s Resource Base, offering a structured, supportive environment for pupils who require more targeted intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Assisting with personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and key skills
Managing behaviour positively and calmly
Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

Experience working in SEND settings or supporting children with additional needs
A patient, compassionate, and resilient nature
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual needs
A proactive and reliable approach
