SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Kings Heath, Birmingham (B14)
Start Date: September 2025
Weekly Pay: 455 - 480
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

Are you an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact in the lives of children with special educational needs? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kings Heath (B14) is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Pathways Provision, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1.

The Role:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis within the provision with pupils who have a range of needs including, Autism, ADHD, Speech and language difficulties and challenging behaviour.
  • Delivering learning activities that align with whole-class content but are tailored to meet individual needs.
  • Adapting resources and approaches to suit specific learning and behavioural requirements.
  • Working closely with other Teaching Assistants and school staff to promote a calm, safe, and supportive environment.
  • Using your knowledge of the KS1 curriculum to ensure content remains educationally appropriate and engaging.

What We're Looking For:

  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Solid experience working within a classroom environment.
  • A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with SEN and complex needs, including behavioural and communication difficulties.
  • A compassionate, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting pupils
