- Planning and delivering tailored, creative lessons that meet individual learning and developmental needs
- Using a variety of teaching methods and specialist resources to support engagement and progress
- Working closely with teaching assistants and therapists to ensure consistent, effective support
- Building strong relationships with pupils, families, and external professionals
- Supporting pupils with communication, sensory processing, and physical development
- Creating a safe, positive classroom environment where every pupil can thrive
- QTS and experience teaching pupils with complex learning needs (desirable, not essential)
- Strong knowledge of strategies for supporting PMLD, autism, and communication impairments
- Creativity, flexibility, and patience in planning and delivering lessons
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for pupils with SEND
