Role Overview
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Full-Time Teacher to join our broad-spectrum SEN school.
You will be working with pupils aged 11-16 who present perceived challenging behaviour and have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for:
* Severe Learning Disability (SLD)
* Moderate Learning Disability (MLD)
* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD, complex needs)
* Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH)
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with diverse and complex needs. Most of the class within this broad spectrum school, are on EHCPs for SEMH and ASD/ complex needs, so experience within this field is highly favoured.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach and support a lively KS3 class of 10 pupils.
* Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual EHCPs.
* Implement positive reward systems and non-consequence-based sanctions to encourage progress.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
* Providing independent living support
* Conducting vocational studies
* Level 1- 2 entry curriculum
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with children with complex needs and SEMH.
* Strong classroom management skills with a positive, proactive approach.
* Ability to plan effectively for a small, diverse class.
* Passion for inclusive education and supporting pupils with SEN.
