Smart Education is recruiting for a passionate SEN Teacher to join a highly respected Birmingham-based specialist school, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (June 2022). This full-time, long-term role offers the chance to make a real impact in a structured and supportive setting for pupils with complex Autism and communication needs.

The Role:
As part of a collaborative team, you will:

  • Teach across multiple key stages, primarily delivering a primary-based curriculum.

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to Autism and communication needs.

  • Work flexibly across classes to meet a range of needs.

  • Collaborate daily with teaching assistants and therapists.

  • Inspire learners to thrive and support their academic and personal development.

 

We’re Looking For:

  • QTS and experience teaching across at least two Key Stages.

  • SEN experience, particularly with Autism and communication challenges.

  • Strong classroom management and creative teaching strategies.

  • A collaborative, positive, and resilient team player.

  • Excellent communication with families and a commitment to safeguarding.

  • A proactive, “can-do” approach and genuine desire to make a difference.
