We are seeking a dynamic and technically-minded Technical Sales Engineer to join our expanding team. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and developing business opportunities across diverse sectors such as composites, foundry, vacuum forming, thermoforming, automotive, motorsport, aerospace, marine, industrial, and film. Our products include high-performance epoxy and polyurethane solutions used in mould and tool making, design model making, rapid prototyping, foundry pattern making, artistic and architectural applications, and composite tooling.
As a trusted partner to our clients, youll combine your technical expertise with strong sales acumen to build lasting relationships and tailor solutions to meet customer needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesProactively identify and develop new business opportunities in targeted industries and markets.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with current and prospective customers.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to achieve revenue targets and grow market share.
Analyse customer needs, provide tailored product recommendations, and deliver compelling technical presentations.
Manage accounts by monitoring sales activity, optimising gross margin, and reducing costs.
Lead contractual negotiations, manage risk, and present counter-proposals where necessary.
Follow up on qualified leads, manage your sales pipeline, and keep CRM systems up-to-date.
Respond promptly to enquiries, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Upsell additional product lines by offering complete and innovative solutions.
Contribute to the business plan by supporting strategic initiatives and adapting to business needs.
Essential Requirements:
A proven track record in technical sales within engineering or industrial sectors.
Experience in account growth and managing the full sales lifecycle.
Comfortable presenting and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
Excellent time management, communication, and negotiation skills.
Desirable:
Background in the composites or epoxy/polyurethane industries.
Experience in bid management, tendering, and procurement processes.
Relevant professional qualifications or a degree in business/marketing.
Demonstrable success in developing new market sectors.
